  The staff, exceptional, very friendly, warm, felt like home. It's a special feeling when the staff remembers your name. The location is perfect, to Porz-Wahn railway station, and 20 min to Köln Hbf. Many restaurants nearby, offering German to Greek food. Hotel has free parking and an EV charger. Area around Schloss Wahn is good a walk. If you want to buy items from dm store, it's 450m from the hotel.
  
  What could be improved: The bed was too soft for me, need something more hard. Would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room. TV channels all in German language, unsure if it's a German tradition 🙂

  They accommodated us with a late arrival and gave us a way to check in even though no body was working at the time.

  I had originally hoped to stay in Cologne but found I would need to look further out and so, close to a railway station was important. I found Hotel Garni Geisler fitted my needs very well. Unfortunately, I was delayed and wasn't able to make it to the hotel before it closed for the night! However, they managed this potential problem very well so I was very grateful for this. Breakfast had plenty of good choices. The breakfast area and views to the garden behind coupled with spring sunshine altogether made for a very pleasant start to the day. Friendly staff at reception in the morning continued the feeling of being well looked-after.
  
  What could be improved: Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice. (However, I see from looking at Booking.com now that this is not listed as provided and that perhaps I should have gone to find the drinks vending machine, which I see is listed!)

  We had a great stay : good location (train station for direct connection to Köln at 10 min walking distance), very nice and helpful staff, free parking, quiet and spacious room and excellent breakfast buffet. We'll be back !

  Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Furnishings and ambience are a bit outdated, but everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the price-performance ratio was excellent.

  Good room, had all I needed. A good bathroom and a small fridge were available.
  
  What could be improved: The communication when I was making the check-in wasn't good because the staff didn't speak English. However, I have a bit of German understanding, so we managed to communicate. The staff was also trying to communicate using translator, so it was worth the effort!
