Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Mülheim, which means you get to experience Cologne like locals do, but you’re not stuck in some far-flung suburb. The parking situation alone is worth mentioning because, let’s be real, finding a spot in Cologne can be a nightmare. Having free on-site parking actually saves you both money and stress, especially if you’re planning day trips along the Rhine or into the countryside. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality with local cafes and shops, and you know what? Sometimes that beats being right in the tourist thick of things.

The Apartment Experience

Each apartment feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room — there’s actual space to spread out your stuff and settle in properly. The kitchen setup is surprisingly well-equipped (I mean, you can actually cook a real meal if you want to), which comes in handy when you’ve had enough of restaurant food or want to grab some local ingredients from the nearby markets. The whole place has this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and the windows let in plenty of natural light, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two.

Getting Around

The public transport connections are actually pretty solid from here — you can get into central Cologne without much fuss, but you also have easy access to other parts of the region. What surprised me was how walkable the immediate area is; there are decent dining options within a few blocks, and the whole vibe is more residential than commercial, which I found relaxing after busy sightseeing days. Plus, if you’re traveling as a couple, this location seems to hit that sweet spot between accessibility and tranquility that makes for a good base.

Look, this isn’t the kind of place that’s going to wow you with fancy amenities or over-the-top service, but that’s sort of the point. It’s reliable, comfortable, and well-located without breaking the bank or overwhelming you with unnecessary extras.   The location, the balcony, owner was nice and communicative.
  
  What could be improved: Super uncomfortable. It’s very clear that the owner didn’t spend a night in his own apartment.
  There are no night stands near the beds (we just hopes our glasses, cups of water, and phones wouldn’t get trampled during the night), nowhere to hang wet towels (not even in the shower, bot to mention to dry later), the sofa bed was horrendous with one third fully wooden with no cushioning (and very tine besides to sit on), the place was cramped, sound isolation was poor (poor lady underneath woke up every night when we came back at around 11 PM “by our stomping”, proceeding to ring our bell repeatedly to yell at us in German), and much much more.

  We loved the apartment, it was spacious, better than expected and we had a great night's sleep. It was very well laid out, had everything we needed, including iron and ironing board, and the best part is there are little parrots that live in the trees nearby that would visit on the balcony. Would definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends who plan to visit Köln. It's also close to both arenas, so that was a definite bonus.

  Very nice apartment with all the facilities you might need. We stayed only 1 night, but it is good also for a few days more.
  Everything was very clean.
  The street has several parking spots usually already taken by residents in the evening, however there are other parking places in one of the adjacent streets.
  The Cokes in the fridge and the cookies for breakfast were a real nice touch!
