The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense German apartment block feel – thick walls (thank god, because German neighbors can be… enthusiastic), decent-sized windows, and honestly, the fact that parking comes included is worth its weight in gold if you’ve ever tried to find a spot in central Cologne. The 24-hour check-in thing isn’t just marketing speak either – they actually make it work with a proper key system, so whether you’re rolling in at midnight from a delayed flight or arriving early from Amsterdam, you’re sorted.

What really won me over though was how the place just… works. The apartment has that clean, practical German efficiency going for it – everything’s where it should be, the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s actual counter space in the kitchen (you’d be surprised how often that’s missing in European city apartments). The neighborhood gets properly quiet after 10 PM, which is perfect if you’re planning to walk around the cathedral all day and actually want to sleep. And here’s something I didn’t expect – the local bakery two blocks down does these incredible sourdough pretzels that’ll ruin you for airport snacks forever. The whole area has this lived-in feel that makes you understand why Cologne locals are so fiercely proud of their city. It’s not trying to impress anyone, it’s just confidently doing its thing. That 8.6 rating makes complete sense once you spend a night or two here – it’s the kind of place that doesn’t promise the moon but delivers exactly what matters: clean, quiet, safe, with parking and flexible arrival times.   Very new, clean, spacious, and had a good view. The sofa bed was very comfortable. Our host was extremely kind and attentive; she was very responsive and would respond to your message promptly. When one of our housemates left some of their items in the apartment while checking out in a hurry, she was also available for letting us pick them up later! The check-in process was easy and the wifi was fast. The neighborhood in which the property is located is within the Ehrenfeld neighborhood, where one can find so many great restaurants, bakeries, and cafes. It was nice walking around the nearby park. All of us had a wonderful time in the apartment. Overall, an amazing value for money.
  
  What could be improved: There wasn't anything that we didn't like! Having said that, maybe just a couple of very minor things to consider in the future for improvement. 1) We were a group of three people traveling for work and a conference at the university, so we had multiple devices (phones, tablets, laptops, extra phone batteries, etc) that needed to be charged and plugged in simultaneously, albeit in a short amount of time. Our host generously provided us with a small extension cord, but it would really have been ideal if we could have a larger extension cord that would allow 4-5 devices to be plugged in at the same time. 2) This was probably due to the safety issue, but there was only one copy of the keys, and we sort of had to coordinate on a daily basis because each of us in the group had different schedules and were not traveling together. But again, we understood because multiple sets of keys aren't really ideal for safety. 3) Lastly, and this is totally optional, but would be nice if there was a partition or a divider between the bed and the sofa bed area.

  쾰른이 작아서 대충 4정거장 이내면 1회용 티켓으로 갈 수 있는 범위인데 그 안에 있어서 중심지와 멀지 않습니다. 구시가지와 떨어진 실제 거주구역이라 조용하고 쾌적합니다. 5월인데도 날씨가 좀 쌀쌀했지만 방은 따뜻했고 방음, 보온 좋습니다. 해질 때쯤 어스름하게 해가 지는 뷰가 좋습니다.(사진은 저녁 9시입니다) 웬만한거 방에 다 구비되어 있고 거의 새거라 한번 닦아서 쓰시면 됩니다. 호텔대비 방크기가 4-50% 커서 4인까지 써도 될 것 같습니다. 걸어서 5-10분 거리에 할인마트 있습니다. 주인분도 좋고 입구 카운터에 관리인도 좋은 분입니다. 트램이 밤 늦게까지 다녀서 늦게까지 놀다와도 괜찮습니다. 동네 치안 좋습니다.
  
  What could be improved: 숙소를 방문하시는 분들이 알면 좋을 것들을 설명드립니다. 어매니티가 없어서 씻을거 챙겨가는게 좋습니다. 휴지 주시는데 안에 티슈가 없어서 휴지 아껴쓰시는게 좋습니다. 지하에 세탁실 있는데 0층 관리인에게 토큰 사고 이용 가능합니다(2025년 5월 기준 2.5유로). 트램 시간 간격이 좀 깁니다. 근데 트램 외에 교통수단이 제한적입니다. 시간 계획 잘 세우는게 좋습니다.

  Beeindruckender Ausblick aus dem 12. Stock; check-in und -out, Parken und überhaupt Kontakt mit Vermieterin total unkompliziert. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten und auf Rückfragen hat die Vermieterin augenblicklich reagiert (siehe auch unten). Die Matratzen sind gut, das ganze Apartment wirkt wie frisch renoviert, sauber, also alles super.
  
  What could be improved: Bad ist nicht separat beheizbar, aber dafür kann die Vermieterin nichts! Sie hat umgehend einen kleinen Heizlüfter besorgt 🙂
