The U-Bahn connection at Severinstraße station means you can get to the main train station in literally four stops, which saved my life when I had an early train to Brussels. Parking’s a bit of a puzzle in this area – like most of old Cologne – but the staff actually knows which streets have free spots after 6 PM, and they’ll tell you without making it feel like they’re doing you some massive favor. That 8.1 rating makes sense because it delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises, and in a city where accommodation can get pricey during trade fair season, it’s actually reasonable value for what you get.

  The apartments are simply decorated but comfortable. The room has all the amenities of a good hotel, plus a bonus kitchenette. We checked in without any problems using the door code sent to us, we didn't need to go anywhere else. Also, I don't see that an additional deposit was taken from my account. The neighbourhood is quiet.
  
  What could be improved: The price was very high for this period, probably due to the wine festival. However, the owners left us wine in the fridge as compensation)

  What could be improved: It was fine for us, but there is no lift so if you might struggle to carry luggage up a spiral staircase then you might want to ask for one of the lower floors. There are 4 floors with 2 apartments on each. We were on the 2nd floor.

  This is exactly the apartment we wanted. We had the opportunity to cook ourselves. Good decision to stay at Cologne for about a week.

  Great location. nice and spacious room. Great for a quick or longer stay. Good value for what you get.

Did not sleep due to the next door neighbors being loud, it sounded as if they were in the room. bathroom smelled strongly of smoke. this is definitely not the fault of the hotel – perhaps the people above or below. So I do not put the blame on them for this! it is extremely hot in summer time w no AC, to be expected. netflix on the TV did not work.
