My room was on the eighth floor with a partial Rhine view, and the setup was exactly what you’d expect from a business-focused hotel — everything designed for efficiency but still comfortable. The bed was properly firm, the desk had all the right outlets and lighting for working, and the bathroom was spacious with a rain shower that actually had good water pressure. What surprised me was how quiet it was, considering you’re in a pretty busy area with the trade fair and all the conference activity going on.

The breakfast buffet here is honestly one of the better ones I’ve had at a chain hotel — they’ve got proper vegetarian and vegan options that don’t feel like an afterthought, plus all the usual German breakfast staples. The restaurant downstairs serves decent international cuisine, though I’ll be honest, I ended up exploring the neighborhood for dinner most nights because there are some great local spots within walking distance. One thing that’s genuinely convenient is the parking situation — having your own spot at the hotel is a real relief when you’re dealing with Cologne traffic.
