The location in Lind is actually pretty clever – you’re technically in Cologne (the 51147 postal code puts you in the southeastern part of the city), but it feels more like a proper German neighborhood where people actually live, not just a tourist zone. I mean, you can get into the city center in about 20 minutes by car, and parking here is… well, let’s just say it’s not the nightmare it is closer to the Dom. The area around Am Linder Kreuz is residential and quiet – perfect if you’re one of those travelers who actually wants to sleep at night instead of listening to drunk tourists stumbling around cobblestones until 3 AM.

What struck me most was how the place manages to feel both practical and welcoming. It’s clearly set up for people attending trade fairs (Cologne has tons of them), but the owners have put thought into making it work for regular travelers too. The apartment setup means you’ve got space to spread out, which is gold if you’re traveling with family or staying more than a couple nights. I appreciated little touches that showed someone who actually stays in hotels designed this – proper lighting for reading, enough outlets near the bed, a kitchen that’s actually equipped for more than just making coffee. There are proper German bakeries within walking distance, local restaurants where the menus aren’t translated into five languages, and you’re close enough to green spaces that you remember cities can actually be pleasant places to exist. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to duck out of the tourist crowds and reset in a real neighborhood – but still be close enough to hit the major sights when you want to – this kind of setup in Lind is actually perfect. Plus, if you are here for business or trade fairs, you’ll appreciate that someone designed this with actual work travelers in mind, not just people taking selfies.

  Super freundlicher Kontakt zum Gastgeber. Man bekam vorab alle Infos, die man für den Aufenthalt benötigt.
  Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet.
  Parkplätze sind in ausreichender Zahl direkt vor der Haustür vorhanden.
  Sehr ruhige Lage.
  Man ist mit dem Auto in 15 Minuten in Köln Mitte.

  Le propriétaire qui répond très vite aux questions et qui est très disponible. Tout était expliqué pour rejoindre Cologne en transport en commun. Nous y avons passé la journée c était très beau. Étant donné qu il faut une étiquette spéciale pour rouler dans Cologne nous étions contents d être un peu à l extérieur et parking P+R gratuit à côté du tramway. La cuisine est très bien équipée et l appartement est grand et propre. Salle de bain très fonctionnelle
  
  What could be improved: Le cadre au dessus de la concession automobile est un peu étonnant mais ne cause pas de désagréments. La disposition des lits est un peu étrange. On pourrait faire facilement deux chambres avec un paravent pour que l espace soit mieux occupé.
