The name itself is pure Kölsch — local dialect that roughly translates to “Cologne connections” — and honestly, that tells you everything about what you’re getting into. This four-star boutique property sits right in Altstadt-Nord, and I mean right in the thick of things. You’re basically a two-minute walk from the Dom, which is pretty incredible when you think about it.

Location & Neighborhood

The location score of 9.3 isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s actually spot-on. You know how some hotels claim to be “centrally located” but you still need a tram ride to get anywhere interesting? Not here. I could literally see the cathedral spires from my room, and the old town’s cobblestone streets are right outside your door. The Rheinufer promenade is maybe a three-minute stroll, perfect for those evening walks along the river. What I really appreciated was being able to duck back to the hotel between sightseeing without it feeling like a major expedition.

The Room Experience

The rooms have this interesting blend of modern comfort with subtle nods to Cologne‘s history. Nothing too heavy-handed, mind you — just enough character to remind you where you are. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-designed without being flashy. What struck me most was the attention to sound insulation. Despite being in such a central spot, I slept surprisingly well. The windows are quality, which matters when you’re this close to the action.

Dining & Atmosphere

The breakfast setup is solid — not enormous, but everything you need is there and it’s done well. Fresh bread, local selections, good coffee. The staff clearly knows their regulars, and you get the sense this place has a loyal following. There’s a cozy restaurant area that feels more like a neighborhood spot than a hotel dining room, which I found refreshing. The whole vibe is relaxed but professional — they’re not trying too hard to impress, which somehow makes it more impressive.

  Huge apartment. Plenty of space for 5 adults.very clean and everything you need. Very easy walk into the main part of cologne. So close to the cathedral, shops and restaurants. 7 mins walk to the train station. Very friendly and helpful lady that owns the property. Would definitely recommend.
