I mean, couples consistently rate this spot 8.3 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You’re close enough to duck into the old town’s beer halls and museums whenever you want, but you’re also on a quieter side street where you can actually relax.

The rooms at Hotel Windsor are what I’d call “European practical” — clean, well-maintained, and designed for actual comfort rather than Instagram photos. You know what I appreciate? They’ve clearly put thought into the basics that matter. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not always a given in this price range), and each room has enough space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and everything works properly — sometimes that’s all you really need after a long day exploring Cologne’s museums and breweries.

  We had 2 bedrooms apartament for four people. Beds were comfortable. For really old building it was clean. Receptionists were really nice and helpful. Hotel is less then 20 minutes walk to cathedra and only few minutes to metro station. We asked for parking place and we got it reserved. We could park our car hours before check-in, which was really great. I feel that we will come back there soon

  Let's be clear, this is a basic hotel in terms of facilities and decor.
  I needed a low price, clean hotel in the centre of Cologne and this was ideal. Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean.
