Klettenberg isn’t where most tourists end up, and that’s actually the best part about staying here. You’re in a proper residential neighborhood where you’ll hear more German than English on the streets – real Cologne, you know? The location is sneaky good though. There’s a tram stop maybe two minutes away that gets you to the cathedral and all that touristy stuff in about fifteen minutes, but when you come “home” at night, you’re surrounded by quiet tree-lined streets and neighborhood cafés where locals actually hang out. I stumbled across this incredible Turkish bakery just around the corner that had better börek than anything I found in the city center.

The apartment itself hits that sweet spot between homey and professional. Everything’s clean and thoughtfully set up – you can tell someone actually cares about the details rather than just cramming in IKEA furniture and calling it a day. The kitchen’s small but functional (I made coffee every morning, which honestly saved me a fortune), and there’s this little balcony that catches the morning sun perfectly. Parking was surprisingly easy for Cologne – there’s street parking right outside, and unlike the city center, you’re not circling for twenty minutes looking for a spot. The 9.8 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where small things are done right. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually worked reliably, and the shower had proper water pressure – travel basics that you don’t appreciate until they’re missing. My only tiny complaint? The walls are a bit thin, so you might hear your upstairs neighbors moving around, but it never kept me awake or anything. If you’re looking for that authentic “living like a local” experience without sacrificing comfort, this place nails it. Plus, you’ll have stories about the real Cologne that most visitors never see.

  The apartment was so clean and fresh, and the owner was very generous with breakfast supplies and had thought of everything we could possibly need. The location was perfect for us to spend time with family living nearby and was conveniently situated for easy access to trams and restaurants.

  Wir sind nett empfangen worden. Unsere Vermieter hatten für unser erstes Frühstück eingekauft und wir hatten einen tollen Obstkorb in der Wohnung stehen. Die Wohnung hat alles um sich dort wohl zu fühlen und die Lage ist gut. Es gibt viele Cafés, Restaurants, Bäckereien und Supermärkte in der Nähe.

  Zur Begrüßung erwartete uns frisches Obst, gekühltes Kölsch und alles, damit wir uns am nächsten Morgen ein leckeres Frühstück zubereiten konnten.
  Die Lage der Wohnung war perfekt für uns.
  Die Straßenbahnlinie 18, in die Kölner Innenstadt war fußläufig in 5 Minuten zu erreichen und brachte uns in ca 15 Minuten zum Dom/Hauptbahnhof.
  Es befindet sich außerdem ein Supermarkt gleich um die Ecke.
  
  Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und sind dankbar für die besondere Gastfreundschaft, die wir erleben durften.

  Wir hatten einen sehr freundlichen Empfang von der Vermieterin, die für uns alles vorbereitet hatte. In der Wohnung fanden wir alles fürs Frühstück, einen Ostkorb und einen wunderschönen Blumenstrauß. Die Wohnung liegt einem sehr ruhigen bürgerlichen Viertel und nur 8 Minuten von den Straßenbahnen 18 und 13 entfernt.
  Die Ausstattung ließ für uns keine Wünsche offen und hat ein gutes Preisleistungs- Verhältnis.
