The morning light. There are these perfectly positioned windows that flood the space with this warm glow around 8 AM, which made having coffee there feel almost ceremonial. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you experience how thoughtfully everything’s laid out – even the tiny bathroom somehow doesn’t feel claustrophobic.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Gänseweg is this tree-lined residential street where the biggest noise you’ll hear is maybe a neighbor’s dog or someone’s car door closing. It’s about a 15-minute tram ride to get into the main city center (the nearest stop is pretty walkable), but sometimes you just want to feel like you’re somewhere completely different, you know? The host was super responsive too – they actually left this little handwritten note with recommendations for the bakery down the street, which turned out to have the best sourdough I had during my entire Germany trip. I will say, if you’re someone who needs tons of space to spread out all your stuff, this might feel a bit tight, but honestly, there’s something liberating about living with just what you need for a few days.   Unglaublich liebevoll und zugleich praktisch eingerichtetes Tiny House! Auch die Lage ist angenehm ruhig, mit den Fahrrädern ist man dann auch schnell im benachbarten Ehrenfeld oder der Innenstadt! Alles top!

  Sehr schöne und interessante Unterkunft, unkomplizierter Gastgeber. Wegen der vorhandenen Terrasse sicher am besten in warmen Jahreszeiten nutzbar. ÖPNV (Bus) 5 Minuten entfernt, schnelle Anbindung an Innenstadt. Trotz naher Kirche absolut ruhig. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

  Bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll eingerichtetes Chalet mit einer ganz tollen Raumaufteilung. Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wünschen kann! In einer schönen ruhigen Lage, trotzdem ist man mit der Bahn sehr schnell in der City. Zudem sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieter.
  Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

  The property was immaculate clean and had everything included that you could think off. The fresh coffee every morning was great. Easy 20 minute walk to train station or 8 minute on scooter. Could not recommend this accommodation enough and the host could not have been more helpful and even took us to local shop to get some basics.

  The place was perfect – easy to reach with both bus and/or taxi (~20 minutes from the main station) and both not too close to the city centre, allowing you to escape the noises from the city. The place was fully equipped with all the needed tools in kitchen, everything was exceptionally clean, it was as comfortable as being home – no need to worry that you will miss out on bringing something during your vacation. The hosts were incredibly helpful and made sure our stay was great. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning their trip to Cologne. Thank you for an amazing week!

  The host made contact before the trip to arrange check in. I shared travel information with the host and they drove to pick us up from the local train station and brought us to the accommodation. On route to accommodation showed us useful travel links, shops and places. Very helpful and friendly and called via mobile phone midstay to see how we were getting on or if we needed anything extra. The accommodation itself was spotless. Cooking facilities were good. Fridge and freezer large capacity. Very good and well stocked coffee machine. Shower facility was great. Individual heating in each room. Good storage. Plenty of plugs in all rooms. Bikes kept on site with locks which can be used. Was a little out of the centre but if you don't mind a little walk to either tram or train station with good and quick links into Cologne centre the accommodation is great. Would highly recommend
