Plus, there’s parking right at the hotel, which is honestly a godsend in this part of the city.

The Room Experience

The rooms are exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star property — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained without any unnecessary frills. I appreciated that they focus on getting the basics right rather than trying to wow you with fancy amenities they can’t properly maintain. The room I stayed in had decent space (not huge, but this is central Cologne after all), and everything worked as it should. The beds are actually comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t feel like you’re roughing it.

Morning Fuel

The breakfast situation here is pretty solid — they do a proper buffet spread that covers all the German breakfast essentials plus some international options. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll definitely fuel you up for a day of sightseeing. What I liked is that they seem to understand their guests are here to explore the city, so the breakfast timing is reasonable and the setup is efficient. You can grab what you need and get on with your day without feeling rushed.

  Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent! Also very good location.
  
  What could be improved: No air conditioning. Had to keep the windows open at night which let the street noices in. Altough there was a fan in the room, which helped a bit. Outside day temperature was +30C at the time of stay.

  Centrally located, staff were wonderful, the bed felt like you were sleeping on clouds, the breakfast was divine and the endless coffee at breakfast was a great kick start to the morning. The shower / bathroom was small but the water pressure was next level.

  We used the hotel as a stop over as we travelled home from our cycling holiday. We arrived late and left early without having breakfast. The guy on the reception was very friendly and helpful and let us leave our bikes in the main hallway. The stairway is not very inspiring however our room was clean, nicely furnished, a good size and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the cathedral and close to the station which was important to us.
