You know what struck me first about Apartments Cologne? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street called An der Linde, and I mean quiet in the best possible way – especially considering you’re literally in Altstadt-Nord, which is basically the heart of old Cologne. I was expecting tourist chaos, but honestly, once you turn onto that street, it feels like you’ve found this little pocket of calm that most visitors just walk right past.

The thing about staying here is that you get the best of both worlds without really trying. I could walk to the Dom in maybe ten minutes (and trust me, I timed it because I’m that kind of traveler), but when I came back in the evenings, I wasn’t dealing with all those tour groups and street performers right outside my window. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I mean, we’re talking actual living space, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture every time you open your suitcase. The kitchenette was way more functional than I expected, which came in handy because there’s this fantastic little market on Wilhelmsplatz where I’d grab fresh bread and cheese. Actually, that’s another thing – the locals clearly know about this place because I’d see the same faces at the market, but it’s not overrun with tourists carrying those big red guidebooks.

What really sold me on the place was how the staff just… got it, you know? Check-in was smooth (they actually remembered I’d mentioned arriving late), and when I asked about parking – because let’s be real, driving in Cologne can be a nightmare – they pointed me to this spot that wasn’t in any of the travel apps but was super convenient. The building itself has this solid, well-maintained feel that you don’t always get with apartment-style places. I never heard my neighbors, which is saying something since German walls aren’t always the thickest. Oh, and the Wi-Fi actually worked properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up. The whole setup just felt like someone had thought through what travelers actually need instead of what looks good in photos. I ended up extending my stay by two nights because, honestly, I just didn’t want to leave – and that 9-star rating makes total sense once you’re there.

  Clean little apartment with all the essentials just minutes from the station. Easy check in with lockbox. Bed super comfy!

  The location is simply perfect. You don't even need a taxi from the train station; you just walk. Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and bakeries nearby. The whole check-in/out process is smooth and easy. The apartment has brand new equipment, it is quiet and clean.

  Good sized clean apartment that was really warm, enjoyed the underfloor heating. Kitchen had a hob and microwave with small fridge as well as coffee machine and kettle. Comfy bed. Shower was hot and powerful. The guest information received before check in was really helpful and made locating the door to the block easy.
  
  Located just few minutes from the train station made it really handy for onward travel as well as exploring the city.
